Mikel Arteta reveals how many games Arsenal most key star will miss after picking up devastating Injury like William Saliba – Fans will be disappointed

Mikel Arteta has given a report on Gabriel Magalhaes following his four instances of injury and subsequent substitution during the Chelsea match on Tuesday.

Arsenal emerged victorious over their London rivals with a score of 3-1 in their recent home match. However, Gabriel’s injury comes as a major setback for the team, especially since their other center-back, William Saliba, is still unavailable.

On Sunday, Arsenal will be facing Newcastle United, who are currently ranked third and have lost only one game at St. James’ Park this season. In fact, Newcastle has only been defeated four times throughout the entire 2022-23 season, which is the same number of losses as Arsenal and Manchester City.

To maintain their chances of winning the Premier League title, Arsenal realistically needs to win the upcoming game against Newcastle United. However, this will be a difficult task for the team, especially given the possibility of not having their starting center-backs available.

Asked for an update on Gabriel after the victory over Chelsea and if he will be fit for Newcastle, Arteta said: “I don’t know… He had to leave, he wasn’t comfortable at all.

“That’s pretty strange from Gabriel because he’s a big fighter, but I don’t know.”

Quizzed about Saliba’s possible return, Arteta added: “I don’t know either.”

In the recent 3-1 victory over Chelsea, Jakub Kiwior made his first start for Arsenal after joining the team in January. Mikel Arteta expressed his delight with the performance of the Poland international in central defence.

Arteta said: “Yes (I was pleased), especially Jakub, it was a big task for him he hasn’t played in the Premier League yet and to throw him in against top class players was a big ask.
